개인적으로 '스매싱 펌킨스'를 아주 좋아하진 않지만(코맹맹이 소리가 가끔은 짜증날 때가 있죠..) 'Mellon Collie and....' 앨범이 첫 수입이 되었을 때 구하려고 힘들게 돌아다닌 기억이 나네요.. --picxenk

가사를 못알아 듣는데두 노래가 어찌나 좋던지..근데 문제는 가사를 봐도 이해가 안가니^^ 개인적으로는 예술이라 구분되는것들은 역시 분석이나 이해보다는 뭔가 'feel'이라 할수 있는 그런 것으로 느껴야 할듯하다구 생각..(가사를 못알아듣는 것을 합리화하는중)..운운 영혼없는닭 --Dennis아직도 서울공연 못간 생각을 하면 우울해진답니다. 후에 공연 비디오클립을 보았는데, 빌리코건의 오프닝 인사말을 듣고 눈물 찔끔. ^^; tonight tonight 도 너무 좋았구요. --swallow
ex-여자친구랑 갔던 마지막 공연...T_T Machina보다는 앞쪽의 곡들이 더 많았었으면 좋았을뻔 했죠. 새로 들어온 터프한 베이스 아가씨의 스테이지 매너가 기억에 남는군요. 그리고 빌리 코건은 새 밴드 준비중이라고. --거북이.png ":)")
--이 노래는 1995년에 발표되었으므로 빌리 코건이 이 곡을 쓸 당시에 1979년생들은 아마 15살, 혹은 16살이었을 것이다. 나에게 16살은 혼란과 피로감의 시절이었다. 이 노래는 까칠까칠하며 애잔하고 반짝이면서 씁쓸하다. 이 노래를 들으며 내가 그리워하는 1979년생들은 알 수 없는 거리를 뛰어다니며 숨이 차오르지만 가슴 속의 열망과 젊음이 넘쳐서 뜀박질을 멈추지 못하는 아이들이다. 스매싱 펌킨스의 1979, <Perfect>,<Try,try,try>의 뮤직비디오에 나오는 아이들(혹은 젊은이들)은 결코 과거의 기념사진 속에 자리 잡고 있지 않다. 그들은 상점에서 물건을 훔치고 마약에 취해 병원에 실려간다. 그 비디오들은 음악과는 별개로 적지 않은 감흥을 일으킨다......END라는 단어가 '정을 떼려는 듯' 표지에 떡하니 박힌 (비록 배경에 있지만) 스매싱 펌킨스 베스트 앨범을 구입한 후 어지러움증을 느끼고 있는 Heather
